The school is based on Biblical, Christian values. OIS is not exclusively for Christian students. Students of all faiths, and backgrounds are welcome! OIS first opened its doors in 1992 and strives to be a school that produces children who will show the world what God’s love looks like, in practical ways, wherever life takes them. This can be seen in the way the students interact with each other, the interaction with teachers and other adults as well as the whole atmosphere of the school. "Botho" which means ‘well mannered’ is a cornerstone of Setswana culture and something the school strives to represent.
Boarding: All students take part in Christian-based assemblies, and boarding students attend the All Nations Village Church in Maun on Sunday Mornings and the weekly “Fire by Night” featuring relevant and exciting youth activities every Friday evening.
